When you try it for the first time, it’ll come as no surprise that Cuinneog’s Farmhouse Irish Country Butter has won a Gold Taste Award not once, not twice but eight times, more recently our butter won 3 gold stars and listed in the Top 50 Foods at the Great Taste Awards 2015.

Butter like butter used to taste…..Produced with pasteruised cream, a little salt and time, ours is a true ‘country’ butter which gets its distinctive flavour and texture from the slow traditional production process.  The cream is slowly heated and fermented, then churned in the traditional way.  The butter is then shaped, cut & wrapped by hand.

Fans of our butter love the fact that it spreads almost straight from the fridge and this makes it ideal for that slice of homemade brown bread or scone that you’ve just got to have at around 11 in the morning.

We also find that it’s great in cooking or baking. Just imagine traditional home made scones or shortbread made with a richer more full flavoured butter and that’s why we say Add a little Cuinneog… for the flavour…
